JPEC Brussels Office is a branch of the Japan Petroleum Energy Center (JPEC), a non-profit organization to promote the sound growth of the Japanese petroleum industry under the support of the Japanese petroleum industry and METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry). Our main objective is to support energy-related policymaking in Japan and promote petroleum-related technology information exchanges between Japan and Europe. Our office is located in Brussels where major stakeholders, such as the European Commission, trade organizations of oil and car industries, representatives of oil companies and so on, play active part in the policymaking process. Established in October 2004, the JPEC Brussels Office serves as a liaison, providing and exchanging technical and political information about the petroleum industry, clean fuels (including biofuels), vehicle emissions regulations, and new technologies.
