(1) ATRI

Advanced Technology and Research Institute (ATRI) is a JPEC’s research center for the de-velopment of advanced technologies. It is lo-cated in the Chiba Toke Midori No Mori in-dustrial complex in the suburbs of Chiba City. In an area of 37,382㎡, ATRI has facili-ties for research on automobile fuels and ad-vanced use of heavy oils. Technologies are developed for cleaner and more efficient utili-zation of petroleum products, automotive fuels, and future fuel oils.
