The 4th Japan-China-Korea Petroleum Technology Congress 2011
“Advances in Refining and Catalytic Technologies, Fuel Quality and Alternative Energy

Japan Petroleum Energy Center (JPEC) successfully concluded the 4th Japan-China-Korea Petroleum Technology Congress on February 22-24, 2011 at National Center of Sciences in Tokyo Metropolitan Area. This congress was organized jointly by Japan Petroleum Energy Center (JPEC), Chinese Petroleum Society (CPS) and Korea Institute of Petroleum Management (K-Petro).

At the congress, the new technical information is presented and discussed on the common technical subjects among the three countries covering the stable supply of energy and environmental issues. The main theme are (1) Refining Process, Catalytic Technology and Efficiency Improvement and (2) Fuel Quality and Alternative Energy Technology.

The total 160 researchers and engineers from governmental organizations, academia, companies and universities of three countries joined and made presentations and discussions. The floor sessions were held for 2 days and included 3 keynote speeches and 20 technical presentations. The last day, the delegation members visited Cosmo Oil Chiba Refinery to observe the Japanese refinery operation today.

All presentation materials at the floor sessions of the congress are inserted in this column.
